Week #23 and Preparing the Land

This week was all about preparing the land, both literally and metaphorically.

Literally, it was all hands on deck for the ES (and some Sparks too!) to remove the top layer of clay from our guerilla gardening piece of earth next to the alley. Most learners were shocked at how much work has to be done to land before planting! I think they appreciate farmers more than ever.

Metaphorically, it was about learners preparing themselves for a fruitful life--taking responsibility for themselves in a way that makes them feel so proud and makes the studio even more fun!

We are all so excited to see what grows from this important work, both literally and metaphorically!

All the talk about root vegetables led to potato sack races.
